Is Baptism a Part of the Salvation process?
Why get Baptized ?

  1. The Bible states the following!
  2. JOHN 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. “Most Bible commentators agree that the water mentioned here is referring to Baptism”

  3. PETER 3:21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Also see: Acts 10:6 & 48.

She Forgives Sin.

HEBREWS 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with the blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

“What then is the Biblical way to receive the remission of Sin?
the answer to this question is also the only way to apply the blood of the Savior to our Spirit man.

LUKE 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nation, beginning at Jerusalem.

ACTS 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be Baptized every one of you in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The blood of Christ ONLY gets applied through the water Baptism in his Name also see: 1. John 5:8 and Acts 22:16.

  1. Baptized into the Church
Every Church fellowship in the new testament was made up of those, who were baptized into the faith, after they believed and had repented of their sins.Acts 3:27, and I. Cor. 12:13

  1. THE CHURCH IN JERUSALEM- 3000 were baptized in Jesus Name after they had received the Word. Acts 2:41

  2. THE CHURCH IN CAESAREA- Peter commanded them to get baptized. Acts 10:48

  3. THE CHURCH IN PHILIPPI- Lydia and the jailer get baptized in Jesus Name Acts 16:14-33.

  7. THE CHURCH IN COLOSSAE- They were buried with Christ in Baptism Col. 2:12

  8. THE CHURCH IN ROME- They died to sin, and were buried through baptism. Romans 6:1-4

Which of these were used by the early church?

The Jews: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)

The Samaritans: For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the Name of the Lord JESUS. (Acts 8:16)

The Heathens: And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the LORD. (Acts 10:48) (in the oldest greek writings that we have at our disposal it says “In the NAME of JESUS CHRIST” also in most Bible translations today it states the same)

The disciples of John: (Re-Baptized) When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the LORD Jesus. (Acts 19:5)

The Apostle Paul: And now why tarries thou? Arise and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22:16)

The Epistles also hold several references concerning Baptism in JESUS NAME  see: Romans 6:3-4, I Corinthians 1.13, 6:11, Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12.

Matthew 28:19 was a command given by Jesus to baptize in the NAME . The Apostles never once repeated these words in actual baptism, but instead followed the command that JESUS had given them concerning baptism. The apostles understood that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are attributes of the fullness of the Godhead found in Christ Jesus Col. 2:9 They also understood that attributes are not names, and that there is absolutely no authority in titles. This is why the new believer must be born into Christ through the water, because all new life on earth, and in the spirit realm comes to birth through water.

ACTS 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, and 19:5 are four Biblical proofs that answer that question.

Is it imperative that the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST be spoken over every baptismal candidate, when he or she is baptized?
For the answere to this question go ahead and read Acts 15:17.

The First Century believers only baptized every new believer into the NAME of the Lord Jesus Christ by calling that Name out over them as they put them under the water. Some say that baptizing people in the attributes of the ONE and Holy God is the same as baptizing them in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST, if that were true, then that is more reason to do it right, and not to let believers go into an eternity without the name of Jesus Christ on their spirit man. See Matthew 28:18, Acts 4:12, and Col. 2:9

Now what about those who never heard or knew of the fact that every believer must be baptized in JESUS NAME for the remission of sins, or they had no opportunity to get it right due to circumstances? Well I am sure that they are still saved by Gods grace. However woe to those, who know the Truth of the Word of God and will not teach it, or correct their ways.
